Wedding or Mothers Day Card

We made this card in class this month.  This first card I folded a little piece of lace ribbon & added it with a small flower.  It makes a nice wedding card.

This card was just colored for mothers day.
To make the dress I used a post it note over the bottom of the stamp.  With the paper covering the lower part of the stamp I inked it-took the paper off & stamped it.  Then just draw the lines for the long dress with a black marker.

This is a tissue holder.  This is what the stamp actually looks like.

Remember that the new catalog starts on June 1'st.  If there is anything you want from the old catalog be sure to get it quick!  You only have a couple days!

I you would like a copy of the new catalog mailed to you just let me know!

Dragonfly Card

We made this card in class last month.

The card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Elegant Eggplant--score in half (4 1/4)
Gold Foil is 5 1/4 x 4--I cut the solid dragonfly out of the middle of this piece.
2 1/2 x 1 1/4 Gold Foil for the greeting.
Perfect Plum 5 x 3 3/4--This piece is scored on the diagonal every inch.  Fold all the lines & sponge with the Elegant Eggplant ink.

The lacy dragonfly is cut out of Gold Glitter paper.  Mount onto the solid gold  with 2 glue dots.  One on the head & one on the body.
Glue gold & scored layers onto the card front.  Now you can put the dragonfly on the card front with 2 dimensionals.  One under each wing.

The words were embossed using Versa Mark ink & Gold embossing powder.  I used the Paper Piercing Tool in each corner.  This just gives the card a little more "pop".
Mount unto the card front with 4 dimensionals.

The last step is to put a little dot of the Gold Dazzling Details where the lines crossed.

This card I made the same way except I scored it every 1 1/4.  Of course this one is not on the diagonal.  I just wanted to do it a different way & use different colors.   I did not put the gold foil layer on this card.  It was a lot easier & faster to make.   I like them both!

The stamp set is DRAGONFLY DREAMS & it has matching framelits!

Mount 1 unto the extra piece of Sky Blue cs (this is the bottom of the card front)
Mount the other onto the folded top of card.

Use the largest Stitched Shapes square framelit & a piece of Soft Sky cs.
Cut the grass out of glimmer paper.  I had the mint that was a free Sale-a-Bration item.  You could use any green card stock.

The basket is Crumb Cake cs & the ink is Peekaboo Peach.  Stamp & cut out the Easter eggs & bunny.  I colored the bunny ears & bow.  I used the Clear Wink of Stella on the ears, bow & tail.

Attach the grass to the square.
Attach the handle to the back of the basket

Just for you card

Here is today's card!

The stamp set is called So in Love.  You can see the 3 stamps I used for the card front.  The words are in the stamp set also!

5 1/2 x 8 1/2" Blushing Bride cs - fold in half at  4 1/4"
3 1/2 x 5 1/2 Very Vanilla cs

Stamp the 3 flowers using Sahara Sand Ink.

Stamp the flower on a post it note & cut it out.  You can cut 2 or three of them.

Put the post it note it note flowers over top your stamped images.  Now stamp the leaves.

Not stamp the small twiggy thing. (not sure what to call it, but it is pictured above.)

Cut a piece of Very Vanilla 1/4" Satin Ribbon-about 6".  Tuck & tape it under on the left.  Use a glue dot or tape on the center flower to help hold it in place.

Cut another piece of the ribbon about 5". Fold & put on the card with tape or glue dot.  This part will all be hidden when the card is finished.

Stamp & cut another flower out of the blushing bride cs.  I used a blender pen & blushing bride ink to add a little more color.  Then I colored over it with the clear Wink of Stella pen for some sparkle.  I attached the flower with dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped with black ink on a 1 x 2 3/4" piece of Very Vanilla cs.  I used the Triple Banner punch on both ends.  Sponged it with Blushing Bride ink.  Tape or glue this piece right on top of your flower.

Hope you liked this card.  I made mine into an anniversary card, but it would work for about anything!

3 x 3 1/2 So Saffron cs  & a scrap piece

Cut out the flower with the framelits on one of the white pieces.   Sponge with the Colypso Coral ink & the So Saffron ink on the other white piece.  I did some lighter areas & some darker.  Lay the white piece over the top that has the flower cut out.  Make sure that the entire flower cut out has color under it.  If you need to sponge more you can.

Sale-a-Bration thanks card

Pear Pizzazz cs 5 1/2 x 8 1/2--score at the half 4 1/4" & fold
DSP is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"  It is the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. (You can get it free with a $50.00 merchandise order.)

Inks
Tempting Turquoise
Sweet Sugarplum
Pear Pizzazz

I used the Sponge Brayer (pg. 180 in catalog)  roll it in the Sweet Sugarplum ink & then roll it over the DSP. Just keep rolling in the ink & then on the paper till you get the darkness you want.  Then I changed the sponge on the brayer & did the Pear Pizzazz ink.--Then the Tempting Turquoise ink.  The colors will overlap a little.  After you get the colors the way you want them attach it to the card front.

The Thanks was from the Hello Thinlits.  Cut it out of Very Vanilla cs using your Big Shot.  I used a sponge to lightly dab the glue onto the word & then attach to the DSP on the card front.  The dragon fly was from the Detailed Dragon Fly Thinlits--use very vanilla cs.  I lined up the tail with the n in thanks.  I felt it made it easier to read this way.  I attached the dragon fly with 2 dimensionals under the wings & close to the body.

I tied a bow out of bakers twine & attached it with a glue dot!

I hope you liked this card.  If you need any supplies just click on my StampinUp website on the left to shop!  Thank you!  Be sure to leave a comment to let me know how you like the card!

Use one piece of the perfect plum cs to cut the layer for the greeting using the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies.  They are in the Occasions Catalog on page 42.

Stamp the birthday greeting from the Avant Garden stamp set using Elegant Eggplant ink.  Cut it out with the framelits & tape the 2 layers together.

You can mount the 2 Perfect Plum pieces on the card.  Yes, one will have the cut out of the greeting, but no one will see it when we finish the card.  One piece goes on the front & the other is inside the card.

Stamp whatever saying you want on the inside & then you can tape it inside the card.

Water Color Pencils

This is one of the cards we made at class in January.
Little Cuties--stamp set in the Occasions Catalog--page 17
Sprinkles of Life--in the big catalog--page 106
Watercolor Pencils--Occasions Catalog--page 24
Stitched Shapes Framelits--can order from my website.

5 1/2 x 8 1/2 whisper white cs--fold in half (4 1/4")
4 x 5 1/4 pacific point cs
3 3/4 x 5 rich razzleberry cs
3 1/2 x 4 3/4 shimmery white cs

Black Archival Ink
Old Olive Ink
Rich Razzleberry Ink
Pacific Point Ink
Early Espresso Ink
Blender Pen

Stamp the horse on a piece of white paper, cut it out.  Use regular paper or a post it note.  This is for masking.

Stamp the horse on the Shimmery white cs with the black ink.  Put the mask of the horse over the top of the stamped horse.  Now stamp the tree trunks with the Early Espresso ink.  Stamp the flower stems with the Old Olive ink.  Leave the mask on while you stamp the flowers.  Be sure to clean the stamp when you change colors.

The tree leaves are stamped with Old Olive ink.

Lightly color the tree trunks with the Early Espresso ink.  You do not have to get every spot colored.  Use a blender pen to blend the color on the tree trunks.  Color the horse.  Lightly blend with the blender pen.  Be sure not to get the card stock to wet.  It could rip.

I used the smallest of the oval stitched framlits for the happy birthday.  Sponge around the greeting.  Mount the layers on the card front & use a dimensional to pop up the greeting.

I hope you liked this card!  Any of the supplies can be ordered from my website on the left.

Assisted Living Class

Here are some pictures from a class I did at an assisted living center.  There were 10 ladies stamping.  Special thank you to Rose for helping me with the class.

Here is one of the cards we did.  It is all done with retired products.

Here is the other card we did.  We used the Pretty Kitty stamp set.  It is colored with regular colored pencils.  The ladies all love to color.

Below is the card I did stepping it up!  This card was colored with the new water color pencils!  The greeting is embossed & I added the ribbon.  Little changes can make a card look totally different!
