I wanted to share a couple of cards that I made for Christmas gifts.  I have a couple people that I always give cards to.  For these you just sponge on the colors that you want.  always start with the lightest  color.  Then I stamped my trees with the Night of Navy ink.  One the top card I stamped it twice to give the look of a forest. Then sponge around the edge of the card with the Night of Navy ink.  Now my favorite part---I took my VersaMark pad and tapped it over the entire image.  Sprinkle with Iridescent Ice & use your heat tool to set it.  It is a little hard to see all the sparkle in the picture, but is very pretty & sparkly!

Here are the directions for this candy gift card holder.  You can see in the top picture where the gift card goes.  The box will hold 8 nuggets.

Box-4 1/4 x 5 1/2"
Score 3/4" on all 4 sides -- snip once on each corner & glue to make the box.

The wrap around is 4 x 8 1/2"
Score 2 3/4, 3 5/8, 6 3/8, and 7 1/4"
Run tape down the one side & set your box down & wrap around. This way you won't get it to tight so that the box won't fit.

Card on top-7 1/2 x 3 3/4"
Score 2 1/2 & 5"
Measure up 1" on the edge & cut from there to the 5" score line.  Fold it over & use a little glue on the edge to hold it down.  Now your gift card will fit in.

I used the Snow Place stamp set to decorate the front, but you could use anything.

I need to get some more directions posted for everyone!

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 white cs.--back of card
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 red cs.--front of card

Score both pieces at 1/2' & 1" on both sides
Cut out the square with the #4 from the Squares Collection Framelits (red cs)
Try and center this between the score lines.
See the picture below for these steps.

Use the 3/4" circle punch & punch out a circle from a post a note. Make sure that you have some of the sticky part on the circle.

Lay the red (card front) on top of the white (card back).  Put your circle where you want the moon to be. (You can see in the picture below both pieces of the post it note.)

Take the card front (red) off the white.  Now you can stamp.  The post it note for the moon helps you to know where to stamp.  I used the pine trees from the Happy Scenes stamp set & Old Olive ink.  Sponge Marina Mist ink for the background.  Be careful not to get it down in the snow area.  After you get it all sponged lift off the circle & put down the other part of the post it note.  Now you will be able to sponge in the moon with Daffodil Delight ink.  Take off the post it note.

Use Sahara Sand cs & the Hearth & Home Framelit for the window frame.
Stamp on the window sill with red ink.

If you want to glitter a little use a 2-way glue pen & glitter.

Use glue dots to mount the window onto the card front.
Fold all the fold lines on both pieces.
Put the tape on the card back (white cs.) along both the 1/2" score lines.  Carefully lay the card front down.  I started on one side & then it will lay nice on the other side.

I think this picture gives you a good view of the folds & how the card stands.

I want to wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Here is another card from class.  Hope you have fun making it!

5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Pool Party cs--score at 4 1/4
The front of this was embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

2 1/4 x 5 1/4 Real Red cs
2 x 5 Home for Christmas dsp
Tea Lace Paper Doilies-cut 1 in half
Put a little tape on the back of the red cs & mount your doily
Then you can put it on the card front & use a couple glue dots to help hold it down.

The greeting is from Cozy Christmas stamp set
Stamp it in Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap of white cs.
Use the #5 framelit from the Circle Collection Framelits to cut it out.

1/2" x 2 1/2" white cs-use the red marker (brush end) to color the word SEASON.
Stamp it on the card stock & trim to fit over the green word.  Use dimensionals to mount this.
The bow was made with the 1/8" Striped Ribbon Read Red. Mount it with a glue dot.

I used the Mossy Meadow ink on the inside of the card.

We had a great class last night!  Now to post the directions for the first card.

8 1/2 x 5 1/2" Read Red card stock - score in half at 4 1/4
4 x 5 1/4 Mossy Meadow cs - embossed with the Boughs & Berries embossing folder

Banners Framelits#3 (count smallest to largerst) cut 1 of each
Home for Holidays Designers Series Paper
Pacific Point cs-embossed with Softly Falling Embossing Folder
Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack (the snowflake is white on one side & gold on the other, so you could use either side)

Mount the green onto the card base.
Put the 3 banners on. I used glue dots on the vellum to help hide the marks. (Where ever you tape on vellum it shows through.  I tried to put the glue dots under a snowflake.)

Hand cut out a flower from the DSP.

Stamp on a scrap of white cs the greeting from the Wondrous Wreath stamp set
Real Red ink
cut it out with the #2 oval from the Ovals Collection Framelits
Sponge around the oval with the red ink.( I used green in the picture, but think the red would look better.)
The flower & words are mounted with dimensionals.  Lay them on the card to help in the placement before you actually mount them.

Put a few sequins on the front with glue dots.

For the inside use a piece of 4 x 5 1/4 whisper white cs
Stamp your saying & any flowers you want with red ink.
Punch each corner with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch

I hope you like this card.  Be sure & let me know if you have any questions.  If you want to purchase any of the supplies to make this card you can click on my Stampin'Up! website. (See the left side)

15% OFF STAMP SETS THRU OCTOBER 23, 2015--See Oct. 19 post for the details.

Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies
A Cardinal Christmas-this is an old set I had that I used for the greeting.  You could use anything-just adjust the size of the card stock to fit.
Holiday Ornaments Framelits-These were old ones that I had.  There is a new set called Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies that would work great.  (I do not have the new set)

5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White card stock--This is the base.  Score at 4 1/4 & fold your card.
5 1/4 x 4" Soft Sky card stock
5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White card stock--emboss with the Soft Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
1 x 2 1/2 Whisper White card stock-for greeting
1 1/8 x 2 5/8 Soft Sky-this goes behind the greeting.

Cut your ornament out of the Soft Sky cs-this saves on paper & the weight of the card.

You will need a scrap of white cs. & Garden Green card stock to cut out the trees & horse.

The ornament on the left -- I just laid down the trees--then lay the horse on top.  This way you can see how it will all fit.  Take the horse off & glue down the trees.  Then turn it over & trim off the extra green.

Middle ornament I glued down the horse & sleigh.-- Turn it over & trim off the extra.  Do you notice how the bottom of the ornament is showing?  I did not worry about this because on the last ornament you see how the greeting is covering it.   If you did not put a greeting or it was in a different place make sure that you used bigger pieces when cutting.  You would not want it to show then.

I used silver foil card stock & cut out the top or cap for the ornament.  I put it on with a glue dot.  Silver Cording Trim was used to make a small bow.  I attached it with a glue dot.

Use glue dots to attach the ornament to the white embossed card stock.  Sometimes it is hard to get tape or glue to stick because of the embossing.

Remember that tomorrow Stampin'Up! is having a 15% off sale on stamp sets!

5 1/2 x 8 1/2" Very Vanilla card stock-card base score in the center at 4 1/4 & fold
5 1/4 x 4 Night of Navy card stock
5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla card stock.

Happy Scenes stamp set
Cozy Christmas stamp set
Petite Pairs stamp set
Bitty Banners Framelits
 Woodland Textured Embossing Folder

Old Olive ink
Marina Mist ink
Night of Navy ink

Take your 5 x 3 3/4 vanilla cs & put in under the woodlands embossing folder.  I do this just so I have a guide of where to sponge & stamp.  This is only a guide--does not have to be perfect!

Make sure you are using the correct side of the folder.  Do you see the wording in the upper left.  We are sponging the background of the scene.

In the above picture I have lightly sponged the Marina Mist Ink on the folder.  I hope you can see it in the picture.  (When you sponge you want to go from the lightest to darkest ink.)  Can you tell how I used the card stock as a guide?  Remember you can always go a little darker if you want, but do not go to dark. You also want a light touch so that you do not rip your sponge.  If you have fibers on the folder it will show up on the card.

Sponge a little Night of Navy Ink very lightly.  (Be careful with a dark ink.)  Use a light touch.  Remember you can always darken it a little at a time.

Stamp the trees with the Old Olive Ink.  (The stamping needs to be done with a dark ink)  I stamped them twice-once on each side.  Stamp the santa & sleigh in Night of Navy Ink along the upper middle to top.  This is a spot where you will use the paper guide that is under.

Next you will take out the vanilla cs from under & lay it on the other side (non inked side) of the folder.  Now you will carefully & slowly start to close the folder.  You can adjust & straighten the card stock.  When you have it right close the folder & run it thru the Big Shot.

This is what it will look like after going thru the Big Shot.  You will then need to clean the folder with a baby wipe or rinse it under water.

Put your layers together.  Stamp your greeting & cut it out with the framelits.  Cut out a Night of Navy  & put it behind the greeting.  Mount it with dimensionals.

GREAT NEWS
Monday Sampin'Up! is having a sale! 15% off stamp sets!  Be sure to make your wish list!  Look for the link on the left for the website!

Here are the directions

Cozy Christmas stamp set
Home for Holidays Designer Series Paper
Black ink
I used red ink to stamp my words inside, but you could use the black.

5 1/2 x 8 1/2 white card stock
5 1/4 x 4" real red card stock

Use the Boughs & Berries Textured Impression Embossing Folder to emboss the red card stock.  You will need your Big Shot for this.  Sorry that it is hard to see this in the picture, but there is a frame around the edge from the embossing folder. (Guess I need to get better at taking pictures.)

Fussy cut 2 of the cute little deer out of the Home for Holiday DSP.  Make sure that your deer are facing the correct directions!

Stamp your greeting & glue the deer down.

Layer the red on the white card stock & you are done!

Here is the last card that we made in class last night.

Acorn Builder Punch
Acorny Thank You stamp set
Thankful Forest Friends stamp set
Crumb Cake ink
Soft Suede Ink
Rich Razzleberry Ink
Mossy Meadow Ink

5 1/2 x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake card stock--score at 4 1/4 & fold in half.

HINT--Always stamp the inside of your card first if you can.  That way if you make a mistake you can fold it & use the inside for the front.  It would be covered with this card & no one would know!

5 1/4 x 4 Mossy Meadow card stock
3- Into the woods Designer Series Paper 1 1/2 x 3 3/4"

Early Espresso card stock--I used the 3rd from the smallest of the Deco Labels Framelits.  You will need your Big Shot for this.

scrap piece of white card stock--stamp your greeting from Thankful Forest Friends in Mossy Meadow ink
Take a Blender Pen and carefully wipe off the ink from the little acorn.  Clean the Blender Pen.  Now use a Rich Razzleberry marker (or use the blender pen & ink if you don't have a marker) & color the acorn.  Huff on the stamp & stamp.

Huff means to breath on the stamp--the warm air will moisten the ink again in case any started to dry.

Now take the #2 Deco Label Framelit (smallest to largest) & cut out the greeting.  Layer on the Early Espresso & mount with Dimensionals (I used 5) to the card front.

Punch out 2 acorns & stamp them
the bottoms are Soft Suede & 1 top is Crumb Cake & the other is Rich Razzleberry.--Sponge the edges if you don't want any white showing. (I did this in the picture)
1 Dimensional on the bottom of each acorn
Mount the acorns with the top handle or point together.
I used a glue dot & Gold Metallic Thread--I just did a couple loops & always touched the centers on the glue dot.  Then I put a Sequin on to finish it.

If you need any of the supplies I used just click on my Stampin'Up! website on the left to shop!

I really love this stamp set!  I like it when you have a set that we all know is Christmas, but you can use it for anything!

Reason For The Season Stamp Set
Petite Pairs Stamp Set--used for the greeting

Bermuda Bay Ink
Wild Wasabi Ink

5 1/2 x 8 1/2 white card stock---score at 4 1/4 to fold in half
5 1/4 x 4" bermuda bay card stock---cut out of the center the backing for your greeting with the Scallop Oval Punch
5 x 3 3/4" white card stock---Stamp your flower across the card.  I got 4 on mine.  Then you will go back & stamp the green leaves on the flowers.  To give it a little more "dazzle" put a little glue on the flower petals & sprinkle with dazzling diamonds glitter.  I used the 2-way glue pen.  Just quickly put the glue on-it doesn't matter if you get every petal.  Remember that every flower is different in our gardens!

On a scrap piece of white card stock stamp your greeting.  Punch out the greeting with the Large Oval Punch.  Use some glue or tape & mount it to the Scallop Oval you already punched out.  Put a couple dimensionals on the back to "pop " it up!

Well, I have a few minutes & I am going to try & post directions for this card.  I am going to start putting more directions here for cards.  I hope I can figure out how to get everything posted!

Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set
Cozy Christmas Stamp Set
Night of Navy Ink

5 1/2 x 8 1/2" Soft Sky card stock-this is the base you will score it in half at 4 1/4"
5 1/4 x 4" Blue Glitter Paper (non Stampin'Up)--I cut out using the Ovals Collection Framelits.  Use the second to smallest for this.  This is used behind the greeting.  This is a good way to save on the cost of paper & the weight of the card.
5 x 3 3/4" Marina Mist Card Stock is used for the card front.  I stamped on it using Night of Navy ink.  Use glue (I used a 2-way glue pen) Put the glue wherever you want it to look like snow.  Sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

Use a scrap piece of Soft Sky to stamp the greeting.  It is from Cozy Christmas stamp set.  Stamp it in Versa Mark Ink & pour Night of Navy Embossing Powder over it.  Use your heat gun to set the embossing powder.  Use glue dots to stick it to the glitter paper.   The oval was cut out with the smallest from the Ovals Collection Framelits.  You will need your Big Shot cutting machine for this.

When you mount your card front to the glitter paper you will need glue dots.  Make sure you use enough for this.  It is hard to keep things stuck to the glitter paper.

Use dimensionals to mount the layered greeting to the card front.

You can find the supplies for this card on my Stampin'Up! website.  There is a link to it on the left.
