New Storage

Here are some pictures I took of the new storage units.
I have 3 stacked here with the storage topper on the top with the reinkers in it.  The bottom one has 2 blends in it.  The middle one has 5 of the new ink pads & markers.  The top on is open & I fit 5 of the old style ink pads in it.  There is room on the side for whatever--maybe markers.
I changed my stack in this picture.  I put the open box on the side with the storage topper  on top.  This is such a good spot to put the reinkers.
Wanted to give a top view.  Notice that I put the flat lid on the left stack.
Notice that I fit 2 markers with the new ink pads.  You could also fit 2 water color pencils there.
This picture shows the flat storage lid on the left & the storage topper on the right.  It is nice that you can mix & match all the pieces.  They seem to be very sturdy.  I only got 1 of each, but will be getting more.
I put some colored card stock under the little silicone feet that you get with each cube.  Be sure to look for them in the box when you open your order.  These can be ordered now, and will be in the new catalog that comes out the beginning of June.

Shimmer Paint

One of the new items in the Holiday Catalog is the Shimmer Paint!  I love this stuff!  I mix it with rubbing alcohol in a small spray bottle.  You spritz it on your card & get a nice little shimmer to the card.  We all love sparkle!  I have been asked how to mix it.  I hope you can tell from the picture below.
I fill the bottle a third to a half full (Depends on the size of the bottle how much I use.) of the rubbing alcohol.  Then add just a little of the Shimmer Paint.  If you look closely in the picture you can see how it is settled on the bottom.  Shake the bottle to see if it looks colored enough.  Shake it good before each use.

I put my cards in a cardboard box when I spray them.  This will keep it from getting everywhere!

August Class

This is one of the cards we made at class this month.  I used the Barn Door stamp set & matching framelits.

I made this card using some of my retired designer series paper.

Here are the measurements for this card.

4 x 10 1/2" white cs.  score at 2 5/8" & 5 1/4"
2 pieces of Fresh Fig cs  4 1/4 x 5 1/2"
1 1/2 x 4" Fresh Fig cs-This piece is for the backing of the smaller DSP.
3 3/4 x 5" Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP)

Pretty Label is the punch I used.  I cut 1 out of white & 1 out of Fresh Fig.  Cut the Fresh Fig one in half for the edging on the white one.
Accented Blooms is the stamp set.
Fresh Fig ink
 Here are the cards opened.

The card base for this one is 5 1/2 x 12" whisper white cs.
Score it at 4 1/4",   7 1/4",  & 10 1/4"
Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper
4 x 5 1/4"  back piece
2 3/4 x 5 1/4"  middle piece
1 1/2 x 5 1/4" front piece
The circle on the front is 2 1/2"

Rooted in Nature is the stamp set & matching framelits.
Cajun Craze & Tranquil Tide are the inks used.

Remember the Designer Series Papers are double sided.  You can get a lot of different looks with them.
